FTX Fast Trade: the financial market in a web app
After collaborating on the Coherence IB project, List S.p.A. again chose Geckosoft as its technology partner to implement a digital solution for the financial sector. Together we developed a web-based government bonds trading system optimized for fast trading. Today, the FTX Fast Trade platform is used by Canada’s major financial institutions, with more than 1.200 active traders every day and a daily transaction volume of billions of dollars.
For this project, List asked us to work on a desktop version web client that included the same performance and features as a native client without giving up all the advantages of a web-based solution.
In fact, trading applications usually run on native clients, installed on the device used by the financial operator.
We developed the web client for the FTX Fast Trade project, taking special care of the buy-side interface.
The web app offers numerous widgets developed as Angular components, which can be organized by the user in a fully customizable workspace. The client-server interface is automatically generated from a specification that follows the OpenAPI standard, already tested in the previous collaboration.
